Meowano Privacy Policy

Meowano is a playful music app that lets you play a cat piano, use Meow Styles, play over instrumentals, record and save performances, use Sampler Mode, and unlock optional Pro features.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Meowano collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Information We Collect
Audio Recordings and Sampler Audio
Meowano may ask for microphone access when you use Sampler Mode or record audio.
Audio you record in Meowano is used to create playable sounds, recordings, and exported audio files inside the app. Your recorded audio is processed on your device. We do not upload your microphone recordings, sampler recordings, or saved performances to our own server.
If you choose to export or share a recording, your device may send that file to the destination you select, such as Files, Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or another app. That sharing action is controlled by you and may be subject to the privacy policy of the destination service.
Saved Recordings, Sampler Settings, Game Progress, and App Settings
Meowano may store information locally on your device, including saved recordings, custom sampler settings, selected Meow Styles, Catnip game progress, coins, unlocked skins, purchased items, and app preferences.
This information is used to make the app work and remember your progress. It is not uploaded to our own server.
Advertising Data
Meowano uses Google AdMob to show rewarded ads, such as ads shown before saving or exporting recordings for users who have not upgraded to Meowano Pro.
Google and its partners may collect information from your device to provide, measure, and improve ads. This may include device identifiers, advertising identifiers when available, approximate location derived from device or network information, product interaction, ad interaction, diagnostic information, IP address, and related usage data.
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices.

In-App Purchases
Meowano Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card number or bank information.
The app may receive purchase status information from Apple so it can unlock Pro features, restore purchases, and remove ads for Pro users.
Diagnostics and Performance Data
Apple, Google, or app platform services may collect crash logs, performance data, and diagnostic information to help detect issues, improve reliability, prevent fraud, and maintain the app.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide Meowano's piano, sampler, recording, playback, export, and Catnip features.
Save your app settings, recordings, progress, and unlocked items locally.
Process and restore Meowano Pro purchases.
Show rewarded ads to non-Pro users.
Provide privacy choices where required.
Improve app reliability, performance, and user experience.
Prevent fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
How Information Is Shared
We may share information in the following limited cases:
With Google AdMob and its partners for ad serving, measurement, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and consent management.
With Apple for App Store purchases, purchase restoration, crash reporting, analytics, and platform services.
With services you choose when exporting or sharing recordings.
When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell your microphone recordings or saved music files.
Privacy Choices
Depending on your region, Meowano may show a Google consent message or privacy options screen for ads.
You can also manage ad tracking and app privacy settings through iOS Settings, including:

Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone
If privacy options are available in your region, Meowano provides an in-app privacy choices control in the app settings area.
Data Retention
Recordings, sampler audio, app settings, Catnip progress, and saved files stored by Meowano remain on your device until you delete them in the app, reset them, or uninstall the app.
Data collected by Apple, Google, or third-party services is retained according to their own policies.
Children
Meowano is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at justanappllc@gmail.com so we can review and take appropriate action.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information handled by the app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Users
If you use Meowano outside the United States, information processed by Apple, Google, or other services may be handled in countries with different privacy laws than your country of residence.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and make the revised policy available through the app or our website.
